Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Pirates have reportedly traded first baseman Carlos Santana to the Milwaukee Brewers.
According to Pirates' beat writer Jason Mackey, Pittsburgh will receive shortstop prospect Jhonny Severino in return.
Santana, a 37-year-old veteran, appeared in 94 games this season for Pittsburgh while recording a .235 batting average with 12 homeruns and 53 RBIs.
He signed a 1-year deal with Pittsburgh back in November.
Santana is playing in his 14th major league season, having previously played for Cleveland, Philadelphia, Kansas City and Seattle.
